Kampot Weekend Getaway

Woke up bright and early this morning to join my friends in Kampot. The sun was still rising over the Tonle Sap river as I waited for my shared "taxi" ride.


Kampot is a small town on the river and it feels nice to have a break from the crowds of Phnom Penh.



We're staying at this funky bungalow tonight and are hoping to take a boat ride to see fireflies at sunset.


Off for a swim first! Will continue to be seranaded by Jack Johnson in the water, wafting from the open air reception/bar/restaurant. You can jump straight off it into the water. I'll try to take some pictures with my underwater camera to better explain what I'm talking about.

    That Funnifer keeps moving. If it's not Phnom Penh, it's Siem Reap. If it's not Sihanouk Ville, it's Kampot. Hard for my spellchecker to keep up.
